Galanthus plicatus ssp. byzantinus “Joe Sharman” is the only virescent variety of the subspecies. It was recently (as of 2020) discovered by the namesake Galantophile. Preliminary reports indicate it is a vigorous snowdrop. In any case, its beauty is in doubt by only few plant-lovers.
