S. Arnott

S. Arnott is one of the best known snowdrops suitable for naturalization. Like ‘Magnet’, it has a vigorous, healthy habit and a sweet honey scent. Originally grown by Sam Arnott, who sent bulbs to Henry John Elwes in Colesbourne Park (1). Tens of thousands of bulbs of this variety grow there now. It is thought to be a cross between the nivalis and plicatus species, also known as Galanthus x valentinei.

A small display of S. Arnott.
