G. elwesii ‘Polar bear’ is a recently selected Dutch cultivar with large, upward tilted flowers. It has especially broad outer perianths, whereas the inner perianths form a neat cup. Due to its upward tilt, one can appreciate these qualities of the flower from a distance.
